PhD Student (visiting)
(April 2018 – April 2019)

Iolanda Vilela Von Pinho is a PhD’s Candidate in Brazil. Her research focus in Brazil is in Genetics and Plant Breeding.

The main project at UBC is related to the physiological, biochemical, and genetic effects of deficit irrigation and crop management in hops plants (Humulus lupus). The focus of this project is to test different water deficit conditions of hops growing in the UBC greenhouse, and investigate how the abiotic stress condition affects the physiological and photosynthetic responses of the plant.
